How to Set Up A Database on Your Game Server

What Is a Database?

A database is where a game server store its data in an organized way, so it can be read and used later on. If the game supports it, you can use a database to store player’s data, such as the items they have, their money, and more..

How to Create a Database

1. Head to the Iceline Game Panel
2. Select your server and access the console
3. In your server navigation bar, go to the “Databases” tab. (You may have to use the scroll bar on the top to see it)

4. On this page, you will see a button named "Create Database"
5. Click on this button and put any name into the “Database Name”.
6. Select the database type and location, also select a name for the general database and a root password. Make sure to select a strong password

7. Press “Create Database” towards the bottom.

That's it! With this your database has been created and can be accessed through the game panel, or through an application like HeidiSQL
