Rust Goes Underwater: Why You Should Checkout Rust’s New Aquatic Update

Rust has gone underwater! Check out the latest Rust update, ‘Going Deep’, where you can explore a new world of undersea adventure. After playing this update personally over the past few weeks, it’s definitely not something you’ll want to miss. Immerse yourself in the rusty depths and go spelunking with a submarine. The update also introduces a new crafting mechanic that allows players to create their own gear from salvaged materials they find at the bottom of the ocean. Every time it feels like Rust has turned a corner or reached its final form, they release an update that changes the map (in this case underwater), creates new mechanics, or adds in-game events for players to enjoy. Most of these features blur the lines between what is considered part of ‘the game’ and user-generated content but developers know what works best for them when creating something as unique as Rust.

One thing that immediately sticks out about this release is how big it actually is – not just in terms of its size but also when taking into account what has been added to the game and changed! • Underwater Labs: If you’re feeling confident to take on the aquatic world alone, be sure to check out all of the new underwater laboratories that spawn in oceans. There’s a chance for these labs to have their unlocked containers sitting around within them so if you’re after some extra supplies this could definitely come in handy!

• Reefs: This month’s update has also seen the addition of some new and improved reefs that are home to a variety of fish species, so definitely check them out if you’re lucky enough.
• Fishing: This has been highly requested by player’s of Rust for a while now, and it’s finally been implemented within this update. There’s an array of different fish each with different conditions for catching. You can either gut your fish for resources or dispose of them at a fishing village in return for some scrap!

• New Diving Gear: Alongside the new goodies, there’s also a whole bunch of shiny new diving gear to pick up including different variations on the snorkel and flippers.
